At night Las Ramblas is packed with people...tourists everywhere...

My friends and I arrived in Barcelona with a cheap flight from Brussels. In some way it was a kind of relief for my friends because we were back in Latin world. Brazil is 10 hours flight away across Atlantic Ocean. But for myself it was like saying goodbye to my roots back in Germany.
Our hostel in was booked through Internet. By subway to downtown Barcelona, Las Ramblas...well famous...packed with people..., we walked along to check in first. It was evening, night life was just beginning. Men, I had not yet rent a car but brought credit cards, travel insurance card, passport…ready to enjoy vacations and summer. But...I thought...why all this? We decided simply walk...do you believe that? It was warm at night and at the end of Las Ramblas pedestrian walk we could see lots of cruisers along the port of Barcelona! It was just another world...great, but first let's have dinner! But where?

At Brussels airport we met a friend coming to Barcelona. Her brother lives in town and invited us to have dinner at a typical Catalan restaurant. Well, we put a soft social suit and at arrival guests stayed in line trying to get a seat. Our friend’s brother nevertheless made a reservation for us before.

The girls were there...but I took no credits to finance my trip....

Try to guess the name of this place….it was unbelievably charming. I met two girls from Florence. I told her….we go to Italy too…But where? She asked…I told her... a cheap flight to Venice, than by train to Milan. From Milan to Paris by Air France and from Paris to Sao Paulo by Tam…But you come from Brazil and are not going to Florence? And what about Rome? “Pecato”, she said! Why are you not going? I thought, well there are credits at banks…but this wouldn’t change things at this moment. My friends and me were delighted with the charm of the girls. We shot the sweetest pictures from them you can imagine…
